BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
Be Prepared for Medical Emergencies! Learn life-saving skills today with our expert training in Basic Life Support (BLS).
The Basic Life Support (BLS) course is designed for healthcare providers and first responders, including prehospital and in-facility professionals. The course covers critical skills such as recognizing and treating cardiac arrest in adult, child, and infant patients. Students learn how to perform high-quality chest compressions, deliver effective ventilations, and use an AED in both single and multi-rescuer situations. The course also includes training in Bag-Mask and Pocket Mask techniques, as well as choking relief for all ages.
bls in-person Course:
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
- Importance of early recognition and use of an AED
- Effective ventilations using a barrier device
- Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
BLS Renewal course:
Our BLS Renewal course is for individuals with a current BLS Provider certification that will expire soon. This course offers an abbreviated review of essential life-saving techniques, including high-quality chest compressions, effective ventilations, and early use of an AED in single and multiple rescuer situations. It also covers choking relief for all ages.
Students MUST present their valid credentials before the start of class.

This blended learning option is growing in popularity among our students. It offers a convenient way to learn BLS or renew your certification, without the extended classroom time the in-person course requires. The online portion which includes a student ebook, must be purchased separately. A link for purchase will be provided depending on course selection. The online portion generally takes our students 1-2 hours to complete and can be done at your convenience. This is a two-part course.
The second part is the SKILLS TESTING. This cannot be completed until the online portion had been done.

The online portion must be purchased through AHA, use the HeartCode® BLS link below. This includes a student ebook. Current cost is $36.
